Terms & Conditions

1.1. You must be at least 18 years of age and legally competent to enter into contracts under the Indian Contract Act, 1872.

1.2. All orders placed on our website are subject to studio production capacity and ingredient availability. Receipt of an order confirmation email indicates receipt of your request; contract formation occurs when your payment is authenticated via Razorpay (or confirmed for COD) and our kitchen schedules baking.

2.1. Handcrafted Variations: Every cake is uniquely baked and hand-decorated by studio chefs. Minor aesthetic variations in piping, chocolate curls, fruit placement, and tint hues from website photography are natural characteristics of fresh craftsmanship.

2.2. Customer Inscriptions & Spelling: You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of piped messages, names, and milestone numbers entered during checkout. We pipe text exactly as provided.

3.1. Authoritative Pricing: All prices are displayed in Indian Rupees (INR) and calculated authoritatively by our server. In the event of a technical data transmission discrepancy, the server-verified total shall prevail.

3.2. Applicable GST: Taxes are assessed in compliance with applicable Indian Goods and Services Tax rates and detailed on your official vector PDF Tax Invoice.

3.3. Payment Processing: Online transactions are processed by our RBI-authorized partner, Razorpay. Your account will be debited immediately upon authorization. If an online transaction is debited from your bank but our server encounters a commit failure, our automated reconciliation system initiates a compensating refund within 24 hours.

4.1. Delivery Radius: CAKIESS fulfills orders within designated geographic zones in Tiruchirappalli (Trichy), Tamil Nadu.

4.2. Doorstep OTP Verification: To ensure safe handover of delicate confectionery, our delivery rider requires verbal confirmation of the 4-digit delivery OTP issued to your registered telephone number. Handover cannot be completed without this verification.

4.3. Recipient Unavailability: Due to the perishable nature of fresh cream cakes, if the recipient is unreachable after multiple attempts within the scheduled window, the cake will be returned to the studio for pickup. Re-delivery incurs an additional courier charge.

5.1. Fresh cream, ganache, and bento cakes must be refrigerated immediately upon receipt at 4°C–6°C.

5.2. For optimal flavor and melt-in-mouth mouthfeel, bring to ambient room temperature approximately 15 minutes before serving.

5.3. Cakes must be consumed within 48 hours of delivery. CAKIESS accepts no liability for degradation resulting from improper ambient temperature exposure following confirmed handover.

6.1. If your cake arrives damaged or differs substantially from your order, you must notify our studio via WhatsApp or email within 2 hours of confirmed delivery, accompanied by clear unedited photographs of the cake and box.

6.2. Claims substantiated within this 2-hour window are eligible for an immediate priority replacement or a refund in accordance with our Refund Policy.

7.1. In no event shall CAKIESS, its directors, or bakers be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from celebration delays caused by force majeure events, extreme weather, traffic interruptions, or civil disruptions.

7.2. Our total cumulative liability for any claim shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the specific order giving rise to the claim.

7.3. These Terms are governed exclusively by the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, India.
